Mustang II Rear Hatch (1974-1978)

We finally have a lightweight solution to your rusty old rear hatch! This hatch is both an inner and an outer skin and can accept either your original glass or a flat lexan (or plexi equivalent) replacement. The inner and outer skins are shown, and will come bonded and ready to install with the mounting hinge hardware. All mounting points include a steel threaded insert for use with factory or replacement bolts. 

Notes:

• OEM latch will need to be reused from stock hatch lid
• There are no bracket inserts for the chrome trim, this can be held down with an adhesive
• Factory gas struts are suitable for use with the fiberglass hatch. Though depending on the final weight (type of glass used, spoiler etc.) you may need a shock with a lower pressure rating
